  14. Hi – I used to have these keyboard back in 90′s they are the best keyb…
I feel standard keyboard should be at least GM standards and based on built in speakers with bass reflex… sound may be artificial. if you connect to standard amplifier then difference can be hard to find in terms of sound btw 500 & 510… add some sustain pedal to 510 overall… both keyboards 32 voice polyphony
    you reminded my old days…

    keep posting

  26. Thays a great keyboard for the money but you should shoot for the PSR-E413 with a USB hook up and it has more voices and styles.

  34. The CTK-710 is a good keyboard But The Privia is a Great Choice.

  35. depredadorroberts on Mon, 29th Sep 2008 2:28 pm
  36. Oh… I jumped from the CTK-495 to a CTK-710, and the next one will be a Privia PX-320… Maybe it’s a BIIG step… so big that maybe it’s another broken dream… BUT, I WILL SURVIVE! Good luck everyone!

  42. I See, Well not only i have a PSR-500 but i alson have 2 PSR-400′s & a PSS-51 witch is the littel brother of all of them.1 of the PSR-400 is for sale.

  43. tibitekutan on Mon, 29th Sep 2008 2:28 pm
  44. I had both. ;)

The Casio CT-670 had some really nifty synth-sounds that were usable for techno genres (which were the rage at the time, heh)
However, the lack of key velocity (in both keyboard & MIDI spec) and only 5-channel timbrality pushed me to beg for a PSR-500 a few months later.

  46. Did you have a YAMAHA PSR-500 Or A Casio CT-670

  47. tibitekutan on Mon, 29th Sep 2008 2:28 pm
  48. Haha, I swear… every professional & aspiring composer born in the 80s that I know has had their parents buy them a PSR-500 (that, or the Casio CT-670) — all bought from Costco curiously enough, and mostly because of that vinyl-scratching patch. ;)

It truly was an amazing consumer synth at the time. I regret selling mine, considering it’s been a venerable master keyboard & sound source for my older midi sequences… :’(
