What kind of yamaha keyboard should I get?

People are telling me to get it with weighted keys..so I’ll do that, but what are weighted keys?
And how many keys do you think should be on my keyboard?
And someone else told me Y!A, that I should get one with 7 octaves.. if I want to play like a real piano.. so what else?

Looking to buy a musical keyboard connect to computer to make electronic music?

I am looking to buy a musical keyboard to connect to my macbook. I want one that I can download sounds and assign them. What are some other things that I should be looking for. Is there any particular M-audio, korg, yamaha keyboards that people recommend. Axiom??

I was gonna get logic pro or express software when I gain some experiance.
